The Georgia Mudcats
"Old-time Stringband Music with a Southern flair"
The Georgia Mudcats bring you a program of Appalachian string-band music, flatland country blues, gospel music and traditional songs from all over the South.
With the advent of radio the music of the Appalachian Mountains and the rural South came to town. It didn't stay, as it yearned to be home on the porch, amongst gentler surroundings. The Georgia Mudcats learned their music from friends, relatives and peers; on porches, in living rooms and kitchens all over the country. We'd like to share our music with you.
The Georgia Mudcats are available for weddings, community festivals, square dances, family reunions, Barbeques, private parties and other occasions at which traditional music is appreciated! We know the music of the Georgia Mudcats will help make your event a success!
The Georgia Mudcats are Patrick Shields, guitar, John Grimm, fiddle, Lisa Deaton, bass. Vocals, Tom Ryan, banjo.
Please call or email us for a promotional package and/or information on the availability of the Georgia Mudcats for your next event, party, or square dance. We can arrange for a square dance caller and our rates are competitive!
