To facilitate a clear, pure tone which helps young players develop a demanding ear for pitch and timbre, Yamaha has incorporated a nickel-silver headjoint, body, and footjoint in this series. Other features include double bladder pads, an innovatice rib and post design, and balanced key action and spring tension.

    		The Hall Crystal Piccolo in "C"

    Sound

    Our highest pitched flute produces a clean, crisp sound that is sweeter and mellower than the silver piccolo. This flute is best for small hands because the fingering holes are closer together than on the other flutes. Being a higher pitched instrument, the piccolo requires a tighter embouchure.
